PABX

Private Automatic Branch Exchange is a telephone exchange that serves a particular business or office.

VoIP

Voice over Internet Protocol refers to communications services— voice, facsimile, and/or voice-messaging applications— that are transported via the Internet, rather than the public switched telephone network.

ISDN

Integrated Services Digital Network is a telephone system network. The key feature of the ISDN is that it integrates speech and data on the same lines, adding features that were not available in the classic telephone system.

TDM

Time Division Multiplexing is a method for sending multiple digital signals along a single telecommunications transmission path.

DECT

Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications also known as Digital European Cordless Telephone, is the standard for digital portable phones commonly used for domestic or corporate purposes.

DTMF

Dual-tone multi-frequency signalling is used for telecommunication signalling over telephone lines in the voice-frequency band between telephone handsets and other communications devices and the switching centre.

DDI

Direct Dial-In is a feature offered by telephone companies for use with their customers' private branch exchange systems.
